Would you like to see a real treasure map? Then welcome to the MONPAX website!

I really do have such a map. And it's real!

The hardest part for me was acquiring it. Quite a challenge when there are no pirates or bandits in your family tree, and your great-grandfather wasn't a sailor who left behind a journal with a hint about a hiding place.

So, I made such a map myself.

No one knows the secret of MONPAX except me—and maybe my dog. Because of her, I had to move the treasure several times. Where does the map lead? What will the winner get? Why is the treasure priceless, yet you'll willingly give it back to me? All of this is part of a larger story. A story that began many years ago… back when I had more free time and stranger ideas.

I've dreamed of a treasure map since childhood. As a kid, I drew the first version: an old sheet of paper filled with riddles, leading to a secret place marked with an X. Of course, I wanted such a map to truly exist—not just in books and movies. I wanted to feel the spirit of real adventure and find my first real treasure.

So even back then, long ago, standing in the rain to the sound of thunder and flashes of lightning, I decided: one day I'll draw a real map for everyone and bury a real treasure! Okay, okay… in truth, I was just sitting under a warm blanket watching Treasure Island.

Years passed. I often came back to this idea—especially during my travels, when I ended up in places filled with echoes of mysteries and secrets of the past. But despite that, I couldn't come up with the right place for my own story and my own map for a long time. However, as you've probably guessed by now, that place did appear—and I didn't expect what story it would become part of. I'll just say this: the story began long ago, and one of you will be the one to put a final dot in it.

How does the game work? A part of the MONPAX Main Map is hidden somewhere on this website. By the way, have you figured out what the name MONPAX means? The answer to that question is the first key—it will unlock access to the map.

Next, all players will need to solve a series of puzzles in the Mini-Maps section. Each solved mini-map reveals a new fragment of the Main Map.

If you solve a mini-map within 72 hours of its release, you will receive a bonus. It allows you to unlock the next fragment of the Main Map earlier than others. These bonuses can be saved and used closer to the final stage to open more fragments at once and gain an advantage.
(See rules for details.)

All the puzzles on this site were created by me, and no one has seen them before you. I even had to learn to draw—because I couldn't entrust the creation of the map and puzzles to anyone else. So please don't judge my style too harshly. Even the people closest to me won't see the tasks before you do—I store all unpublished puzzles on a separate computer with no internet access. Fingers crossed for that hard drive.

Important: you don't need to travel, sail, or fly anywhere. You can solve the MONPAX puzzle without leaving your home. And once one of you does it—the game will stop for everyone else, and the winner will go on a real journey in search of the treasure.

The path won't be short, but you can start it right now. No qualifying rounds, no forms, no requirements like "first buy a chocolate bar" or "our treasure hunter starter pack: a shovel, a hat, a whip, short shorts, and a tight top." You just start playing—right now, from anywhere in the world. Anyone can join.

Your support also matters: likes, comments, subscriptions, and reposts—all of it will help monetize the project. Each of you, like a pirate filling the hidden island cave with treasure, contributes to the cause. But remember: participation is completely free. Donations are optional and don't give any advantage.

I understand that in a world full of entertainment like webcams and cats, a project like MONPAX might not seem like the obvious choice. But I believe I’ll find my audience — those who will enjoy spending time here. And the search for the MONPAX treasure will become something truly grand — and still accessible to everyone. Because, in the end, a real treasure must exist somewhere.

Thank you—and good luck on your quest!
